It's exciting to live in a city where things happen. For instance, in the court across the street from my office, Jim Webb held a victory rally, as he just won against George Allen for the U.S. Senate. As I was heading for the escalator I saw masses of people holding Webb signs and wearing stickers. I thought they were idiots, "goodness no one can vote for him anymore" I thought. BUT, I discovered when I got home tonight that this was actually a victory rally, not a supportive one...
For the record, it doesn't matter to me much who won the Senate seat, but it is still kind of cool to be so close to the action no?
